NY400 week, celebrating Amsterdam-New York relations since 1609. Amongst the festivities was New Amsterdam, set up near the Battery, a mini-Amsterdam of sorts with fake row-houses, lots of orange, stroopwafels, herring, patat, tulips, wooden shoes, and cheese. They even erected a windmill.

"This was the Dutch bling-bling of the 17th century."
